Experience

I've been building software for more than 14 years. This page covers my roles since 2017 as a software engineer, tech lead, CTO and founder. Some of them overlap: I've led ERP development at SSIPL since 2018 and started companies alongside it.

Founder, EduCluster

– present

Context. EduCluster is the professional network for education. It connects lecturers, teachers, consultants, industry specialists and students, with public profiles, a newsfeed and messaging, an education job board, tools for running speaking clubs, and a set of learning apps on the same account. It's a Noimos product.

What I'm responsible for. I founded EduCluster and lead it.

Founder, Catwa.lk

– present

Context. Catwa.lk is Sri Lanka's modeling platform. Models create free profiles that a person on the team reviews before they're verified. Brands, agencies, photographers and studios search by location, measurements and type of work, post castings, and book talent directly, with no commission. It's a Noimos product, available in English and Sinhala.

What I'm responsible for. I founded Catwa.lk and lead it.

Founder, Noimos

– present

Context. Noimos (Pvt) Ltd is a Sri Lankan software company, registered in 2023. It builds its own products, EduCluster and Catwa.lk, and delivers business applications, mobile apps, enterprise systems, AI integrations, websites and e-commerce for clients. Selected client work includes MartianToBe, a Mars exploration community, and Mr.Tech eLearning, a platform for tech education in Sri Lanka.

What I'm responsible for. I founded Noimos and run it.

CTO, Outclass

–

Context. Outclass is a UK booking platform for school students' extracurricular activities.

What I was responsible for. I led the technology vision and development.

Tech Lead, Software Systems International (Pvt) Ltd

– present

Context. SSIPL is a Sri Lankan software company that has built business software since 2000: ERP, point of sale and inventory, HR and payroll, and visitor management. It serves multi-purpose cooperative societies (MPCS), retail and manufacturing businesses, and lists 190+ cooperative supermarkets and 35+ corporates as clients.

What I'm responsible for. I develop end-to-end ERP systems from the ground up and own the full lifecycle: architecture, development, deployment and support.

This is the longest role I've held, and the one that shaped how I think about software. ERP work makes you understand accounting rules, approval chains and reporting before you design anything. It also means living with your decisions. I've supported systems I designed for years, which is a good cure for over-engineering.

Software Engineer, Virtusa (Pvt) Ltd

–

Context. Virtusa is an IT services company. I worked on confidential projects in the information security domain for a well-known security devices company in the US. The client remains confidential, so I don't name it here.

Earlier work

My software work goes back further than 2017. Those earlier roles aren't listed here.

Skills across these roles

  • Software architecture and full-stack development
  • ERP and business systems
  • Technical leadership and product direction
  • Data science

Code I can share publicly is on GitHub.

Most of the roles above involved work I can describe in more depth on a call, within client confidentiality.
